Holly Ridge is centrally located between Jacksonville and Wilmington, North Carolina on US Highway 17 with a beach access little over five miles away.

Incorporated in 1941 with the population of 28. In 1943 Camp Davis opened, housing Army and Navy Troops, and the population reached 110,000. Today, close to 1,200 people call Holly Ridge home. The town is rapidly changing, Holly Ridge has several subdivisions started or in the works. Many new residents are coming to Holly Ridge and major commercial development has started just a few miles away. This town has a lot to offer, especially with easy access to both major cities to the north and south and just a short drive to the beach. Only 30 minutes from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, the largest Marine Corps Base on the East Coast. The Annual Holly Festival is held in Holly Ridge and each year, it consists of a parade, rides for the kids, delicious southern-type food, vendors and craftsmen and great entertainment for everyone.
